Erro, with its history and landscapes, offers historical routes and breathtaking views, ideal for lovers of nature and culture.
Erro serves as the valley capital and sits on the banks of the river sharing its name. The village dates back to the 19th century, rebuilt after two consecutive fires destroyed the original settlement. Erro once featured two palaces: one in the upper part of the village (suso) and the main palace further down (yuso). As a historic crossroads for the Roman road, the Way of St. James, and the route to France, Erro lies at the foot of the peak of the same name, which offers a magnificent vantage point over the entire valley. The village of Esnotz stands on a plain 1.5 kilometres west of Peña Liran. An old chapel sits half-hidden among the houses, serving as a witness to the long history of this picturesque village.
