GRT-8 NAVARRA / NAFARROA: COL DE ERAIZE - BELAGUA

An accessible trail linking mountain huts in a stunning natural setting, ideal for trekking and enjoying unique mountain landscapes.

The Navarran section of the GRT 12 meets the French section coming from Sainte Engrace at Col de Eraize. From the pass, the trail descends to the Belagua refuge along a path between the NA-1370 Isaba-France road and the cross-country ski trails. The route remains easy, though thick fog can hinder navigation. It follows the markings and stays on the path, using the nearby road as a clear reference point. The entire GRT 12, along with the GRT 13 and sections of the French GR 10 and the GR 11, GR 12, and GR 321 in Navarre and Aragon, forms a small network that can be divided into multi-day trekking stages through the Pyrenean areas near the Belagua, Linza, and Laberouat refuges.
