Irati Forest

A vast, well-preserved forest with beech and fir trees that offer a spectacular display of colours in autumn, and several nature reserves to explore.

The Irati Forest, located between Luzaide and Mount Orhi, stands as one of the largest and best-preserved forests in Western Europe. Beech and fir trees dominate the landscape, providing a riot of color in autumn. The forest encompasses the Lizardoia Integral Reserve and the Mendilatz and Tristuibartea Nature Reserves.
