Enjoy a scenic drive around a beautiful reservoir, with stunning views and the opportunity to explore nature in peaceful surroundings.
This classic route circles the Irabia reservoir and is accessible from Aezkoa and Salazar. In Aezkoa, the trail begins at the car park next to the dam (830 m) and shares its first section with the Camino de Plaza Beunza until it reaches the ruins of the Antxorena house. It then follows a path skirting the reservoir to a concrete bridge that crosses to the opposite bank, where the disused Casa Forestal stands. A few meters further on, the path joins the track descending from N. S. de las Nieves toward the dam. From there, the route follows the shore of the reservoir. It can also be completed in the opposite direction from Virgen de las Nieves (Salazar), where it connects with the Zabaleta path (SL-NA 63A).
