A walk through a beautiful karst beech forest, with dolmens and cromlechs, ideal for nature and history lovers. Perfect for a getaway.
The route begins at the Azpegi refuge, accessed via the Orbaizeta Factory. It runs through a unique forest in beautiful karst terrain, adjacent to the Mendilatz Nature Reserve. The first section climbs alongside the Mendilatz route to the Azpegi pass, which features an important megalithic site with dolmens and cromlechs on a signposted themed route. The path then enters the forest and continues to the Arrataka spring. It returns through the clearings bordering the forest and across the Azpegi pass.
