GR-11 STAGE 4: URKIAGA - AURITZ / BURGUETE

The route leaves the Quinto Real area, climbing back up alongside Mount Adi and descending the Odia ravine. It continues toward the ridge between Mendiaundi and Lindus, losing altitude through Xuringoa and ending in the village of Auritz/Burguete. The path remains on the western edge of the large Irati forest. The Ibañeta pass to the west and the Iturzaeta (Larrau) pass to the east mark the edges of the Irati forest, along with the ridgeline from Ortzanzurieta–Txangoa–Urkulu–Erroitzate–Okabe and Orhi to the north and the Sierra de Abodi to the south. The succession of GRTs 7, 8, 9 and 10, as well as GR 12 and GR 10 (on the French side), can be divided to plan the routes as desired.
