GR-11 STAGE 7: OCHAGAVIA / OTSAGABIA - ISABA / IZABA

A maze of trails connects charming villages, offering grassy landscapes and the opportunity to explore local culture and nature.

Vegetation and human activity have turned this section into a small labyrinth of tracks linking the villages of Otsagabia/Ochagavía, Ezkaroze/Ezcároz, Bidankoze/Vidángoz and Erronkari/Roncal. The route follows the ridgeline of the Atuzkarratz mountain range until it reaches the Millingrate Kakueta/Millingrate Peña Blanca pass. It follows a series of tracks leading to Zotrapea and Lakuaga. At Millingrate Kakueta, the route emerges onto a grassy ridge and, after passing through the Saitsederra pass, descends along a dirt and grassy track. It then reaches a turn-off to the left and continues downhill past stone barns to the Idoia chapel, a short distance from Izaba/Isaba.
