The route enters the magical forest of Basajaunberro, named after Basajaun, the legendary guardian of the forests in Basque mythology. The trail through the forest runs comfortably and pleasantly, following a short section of the Camino de Santiago that features the historic Pilgrims' Cross. The route also showcases four unique trees: the Hollow Oak, the Pot-bellied Oak, the Burnt Oak, and the Lancer Oak.
