GR-12-E8: ITURZAETA - ISABA / IZABA

Stage 8 of the GR 12 begins at the Iturzaeta pass (at the top of the Larrau pass). After a gentle descent, the route climbs to Betzula and continues to Elurtsuko lepoa and the Portillo de la pista (Utururdineta). After climbing to the Belai pass, the trail runs along the north face of Lakartxela. A zigzag path leads to the El Cantalar pass. The descent ends at the Arrakogoiti pass. The route continues along a path that skirts Mount Lakora, passes through the Larregorri pass and, upon reaching an aska, follows a trail to the road. The stage crosses the road and ends at the Belagua Ángel Olorón refuge.
