GR-12-E9: Belagua-Belagua

A route that combines karst landscapes, meadows and beech forests, ideal for enjoying nature and tranquillity in spectacular surroundings.

The route starts at the Ángel Olorón refuge and, after crossing a stream, runs beneath the Picarras de Sancho Garde. The path climbs toward the Puntal de la Cruz pass and then to Añiberkandia, continuing to the Insole pass. After crossing a karstic area, the trail descends to Llamiako ateak. From there, the GR® climbs the slopes of La Paquiza de Linzola to the Larrería pass in a large meadow. Narrow paths lead gently to the southern slope of Lapazarra. A long descent then leads to the Lazagorria corridor, where the route turns toward the Belagua valley. The forest leads to the Zemeto pass and the Eskilzarra plain, returning to the Ángel Olorón refuge.
