GR-12 STAGE 6: AZTAKARRI - AZPEGI

The first section follows an old PR trail before climbing the zigzags to the Aldaparri pass. It continues to Ibañeta along an old route no longer shared by the GR 11, which here coincides with the Camino de Santiago toward Bentartea. This stage, like the previous and subsequent ones, features loops between the GR 11, GR 12, and the GRT trails that link the GR 10 on the northern side of the Pyrenees with the GR 11 on the southern side. The GR 12 runs parallel to both and forms the third axis of the Irati trek.
