GR-12 STAGE 7: AZPEGI - ITURZAETA
A challenging route linking megalithic sites with stunning landscapes, allowing you to enjoy nature at its finest.
This is the most challenging stage of the route, both in terms of length and accumulated elevation gain. It links two of the most important megalithic sites in the Pyrenees, Azpegi and Okabe, passing near the latter as it traverses the central Irati Forest. An intermediate between the GR-10 and the GR-11, the itinerary is demanding scenic. Can be divided into two sections via Casas de Irati.
